Carroll Dragons Swim/Dive Team

The Carroll Dragons Swim/Dive Team is, arguably, the Top HS Swim/Dive Program in the State of Texas. Since 2011 the Dragon Boys have won the last seven Texas 5A/6A Swim/Dive State HS Championships, while the Dragon Girls have won two, finishing in the Top 3 on three other occasions. The Dragons are part of the UIL, the State of Texas governing body for HS Athletics, and compete in Class 6A, the largest Class in Texas HS Athletics.

Since 2006 the Dragon Swim/Dive Teams are undefeated in District competition, winning the District Championships in both Boys and Girls each of the last 12 years. The Dragons are Regional Champs in both Boys and Girls every year since 2010.

The 2012 NISCA Dual Meet Power-Point rankings place Southlake Carroll HS Women as the #1 HS Program in the entire USA. In 2015 & 2016, the Dragon Boys were the #1 NISCA Dual Meet Power-Point Public School Program in the USA. The Dragon Swimmers have earned 172 HS All-American listings, with 77 different swimmers, in the past 12 years. 14 HS All-American Swimming listings in this current 2016-2017 season.

Dragon Swimming is currently a no-cut Program with over 130 boys and girls training and competing in the 2016-2017 season. Coach Murphy and the Carroll HS Coaching Staff are working to keep our athletes humble as we show that “The Diligent Will Rule!” as we strive to maintain the #1 High School Swim Program in the State of Texas. "We build good citizens, not just good swimmers!"

The Carroll HS Dive Team (boys and girls) has been growing in both numbers and quality the past 8 years. Each year, since 2008-2009, has brought 5A/6A State Diving Qualifiers to Southlake Carroll HS, with both boys and girls achieving a total of 16 NISCA All-American listings. Dragon diving has posted five Dragon State Champion Divers in the last seven years. Diving Coach Carolyn Hryorchuk anticipates continued growth and great accomplishments from the Carroll HS Dragon Dive Team.

Our Dragon HS Water-Polo Teams compete in the Tisca Water-Polo State tournament each Spring after HS swim season concludes. Both Boys and Girls, have placed in the top seven Teams in the State, each of the last 5 years, with one Girl’s State Title, along with a second and a third place finish. The Boy’s Team highlight was a 2nd place finish in the 2016 season, to go with two 4th place finishes in recent years.
