Tyler Applegate, Assistant Age Group Coach & Water Polo Coordinator
Coach Tyler is from San Antonio, Texas. He attended Alamo Heights High School and Trinity University. In high school, he was All Region for 4 years and Honorable Mention All State for 3 years. In college, Coach Tyler was All Region for 3 years and 1st Team All America. He was Head Coach for the Summer League for Stone Mountain Stingrays for 3 years. He was Head Coach for Trinity Water Polo for 1 year.
Diane Billmeier, Secretary to the Aquatics Manager
Diane is originally from Minnesota. Diane moved to Grapevine in 1996 with her husband Gary and 3 children. Diane previously worked at American Airlines as a Sr Analyst/Product Manager for Onboard Programs. Her husband Gary also works for CISD in the Transportation Department. Diane began secretarial work for the Carroll Aquatics Center in 2008.
Kathleen Brockington, Secretary for Facilities
Kathy is originally from Illinois. She obtained a Degree in Radiology from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. She moved to Texas in 1982 and worked as a Sonographer in Arlington, TX. She moved to Southlake in 1983 where her and her husband founded Brock Paving, a construction company. In addition to being Co-Owner and Bookkeeper for Brock Paving, Kathy began secretarial work for the Carroll Aquatics Center in 2006.
Bill Christensen, Aquatics Manager & NTN Head Club Coach
Coach Christensen was the Head Coach of the Lobo Aquatic Club previously. There he had several Junior National Championship qualifiers and Top 16 National Swimmers. He has coached numerous State record holders. Bill has also served on the New Mexico Swimming Board as Senior Vice Chairman and Sanctions Chairman. Before coaching for Lobo, Bill was the Head Age Group Coach for the King Aquatic Club in Washington for eight years. There, he had several Top 16 National Swimmers and served in quite a few capacities for Pacific Northwest Swimming. Bill graduated with a BS in Economics and swam for the University of Oregon. Bill is an ASCA Level 4 Coach.
Sarah Crouch, Assistant Swim School Coordinator and Private Lesson Instructor
Coach Sarah began coaching in 1997. She previously coached at NTAC and Irving Swimmers and various summer leagues. She began swimming at age five and swam competitively through her college years at Hendrix College. Coach Sarah holds a degree in Classics from the University of Dallas.
Lynne Gorman, Assistant High School Swim Coach and Pool Operations Manager
Coach Lynne is our newest coach to NTN. For the previous nine years, Coach Lynne was Head Age Group Coach for Swim Tulsa and Assistant High School Swim Coach for Union High School in Tulsa. Lynne is an ASCA Level 3 coach and graduate of Oklahoma State University.
Carolyn Hryorchuk, High School Diving Coach
Coach Hryorchuk is a native Texan, raised in Houston. She received her All-Level Physical Education and Dance Degree from Sam Houston State University in 1982. At Virginia Commonwealth University, she earned her Health Degree. She has taught for 18 years, ten of them in Carroll ISD. Coach Hryorchuk has coached middle school volleyball, basketball, and track & field. She was named Volleyball Coach of the Year for three years. Coach Hryorchuk is in her second year as the Dragons Diving Coach. She is USA Diving certified. Last year she had the most divers qualify for Regionals in the history of Carroll HS Diving Program. Coach Hryorchuk was selected as the Boys Regional Coach of the Year for 2006-2007.
Heather Maher, Head Age Group Coach and Swim School Coordinator
Coach Heather has sixteen years experience coaching competitive swimming. Previous to NTN, Coach Heather was a coach for NTAC and Irving Swimmers. She comes from a very athletic and competitive family. She began swimming competitively at age four and joined ATEX in Houston when she was ten years old. During her college years, Coach Heather swam for the University of Houston where she obtained a BS in Human Nutrition. She began working for Carroll ISD in 2001. Coach Heather holds an ASCA Level 3 certification.
Jessica Miles, Bronze and Silver Coach
Jessica is a transplanted Australian with a varied swimming career. Jessica has swam in Singapore, Australia and Grapevine. In college, Jessica swam for TCU. Jessica is happy to be part of NTN and looks forward to working with all of our great kids.
Kevin Murphy, NTN Novice Coordinator and Head High School Swim Coach
Coach Murphy has been coaching professionally since 1979. He competed three years at Oklahoma State University, earning All Big Eight honors each year. In 1976, he was a United States Youth Delegate for 24 days at the Montreal Olympics. In 1977, he joined the US Navy Seabees. He obtained a BS in Physical Education at the University of Tulsa. He is a member of ASCA, NISCA, and TISCA. He is Red Cross LGI and USS certified. Coach Murphy was selected the District Swim Coach for 2005-2006. He is the Head Coach of the Timarron Tigersharks. He received the Boys' District Coach of the Year and Boys' Regional Coach of the Year for 2006-2007.
Stuart Smith, Senior II Coach and Head High School Water Polo Coach
Coach Stuart has been a coach for NTN since 2004. Previous coaching experience includes being head coach for the Wal-Mart Swim Club in Bentonville, Arkansas; as well as assistant coaching positions with Dynamo Swim Club in Atlanta and Longhorn Aquatics. Stuart attended the University of Texas where he was an All-American. He graduated with a degree in Liberal Arts and also competed in the 1984 U.S. Olympic Trials.
